It was summer time and figured we would go look at Manley to see who was there by chance.  Steve was walking over to the equipment storage room while I was showing my son the facility.  I asked him his name and knew immediately who he was after he told me.  I asked him for a picture with my son and he happily obliged by walking over and putting his arm around him.  Even though it only took a few minutes of his time, it was a huge experience to my son.  Obviously my 6 year old son didn't know who Steve was back then (his Freshmen year), but he sure knows who he is now.  We are pulling for him whether he goes on to play in the NFL, or whatever else he decides to do.  He is what other student athletes should emulate.  If this were the case,  student athletes would be much more successful on and off the field.
