Clearly a heartbreaker on so many levels today. You have to feel for the Senior leaders like Trimbo, Dearth, Porter, Mellen and Rehfuss. What they have done for the program over the years and what was possible...This team was rolling down the track with serious momentum .!!
Hard to switch gears so soon - but looking ahead - this team is stacked big time heading into next year ..with some key pieces filling in .
Hiltz is a monster pick up and will likely drop behind Rehfuss. A serious dodging threat and feeder - he brings that missing game changing threat on attack. And that can kill two birds with one stone as we haven’t had that in a while other than some flashes from Cook and we need to get the attack more involved next year.
Other big pick ups and difference makers are the goalie Duffy, Birthwhistle who shattered every possible record at attack/mid, Ehrlbeck and Ferris ..not to mention some strong support coming in on D.
we should be just as good - maybe even better , next year - in a world with no Ament. Sowers, Kraus , Connors , Okeefe , Harris , Bernhardt and many others ..
What could have been .. might be coming ...
