For you to say this my esteemed board friend, wow, awesome, just awesome.Corner turned bitches
How would you like your crow?Corner turned bitches
Why would I need to do that? How would you like your crow?
Not sure myself since you started a thread comparing this season to a 2018 team with 10 wins. Why would I need to do that?
Constant, relentless GS criticism. Don't tell me you've forgotten? Why would I need to do that?
Normally I would agree but this team just feels different.Ehhh...great start to the season (my 5/0 start prediction still good) but let's pump the brakes. One game so far. To me corner turned is bowling in back to back years. There's lots to like here after game 1. Let's just enjoy the ride for now.

I told a buddy of mine I thought our floor for the season was 6-6, I saw 11 coin toss games on our schedule … I may need to rethink it … the one thing I think truly helps is that the ACC just isn’t that good. Miami may be the best in the conference if Clemson doesn’t improve from last season. Why?
We were just home 'dogs to a team that's dominated us in recent years, playing against a QB who has carved us up repeatedly. And we destroyed them on both sides of the ball.
All of the prognosticators who picked us to finish in last place were fools, given the number of starters we had returning. And we saw it all manifest -- albeit imperfectly -- last night.
And there is still a LOT of room for improvement, with the penalties, drops, etc.
I'm not pumping the brakes at all -- I say, time for the fanbase to get excited, and enjoy these next two weeks leading up to the Purdue game. Last time I felt this confident was 2018, and we know how that turned out. People were saying pump the brakes then, too.
But if Shrader can throw the ball like he did last night, and the DL can continue to play well and not be the liability many feared, then both the floor AND the ceiling for this team's potential just got raised substantially.
Let's Go Orange!!!

Oh I am not saying don't get pumped up and enjoy. There's allot to be excited about and I certainly am onboard. Again I am pretty much the only one on the board who called a 5 and 0 start. I just think if we are going to start saying that the corner is turned that it takes both a larger and more consistent set of data points. Why?

All good, just tried to clarify in a follow up.Oops -- I think I misinterpreted your post when I originally skimmed it.
What I was reacting to, you weren't implying.
Considering I predicted 3000 yds passing for him this year I never thought he wouldn’t be better. But there’s no denying he had work to put in, his mechanics were horrible. He’s obviously worked on it.Constant, relentless GS criticism. Don't tell me you've forgotten?
I'm with you. I'm hoping this is us peering around that corner. This can be different than 2018 followed by 2019. Assuming we have a good year (7+ wins would meet that definition for me), we have so many more pieces that will come back than in 2018. Just the QB alone will be such a huge difference (not sure why the sideline girl said this was his last year).Ehhh...great start to the season (my 5/0 start prediction still good) but let's pump the brakes. One injury to shrader or tucker can change that though… take it game by game and enjoy the rideNormally I would agree but this team just feels different.
Agreed. But boy did this week feel good.I remember someone predicting we'd be an NC contender in hoops after we beat Drexel to open last season.
While yesterday was a tremendous catharsis, and the team showed so much improvement from last year, we don't really know how good the 'Ville is. Meaning, we don't know how good we are.
Yep, week to week is the way to go.
Don’t jinx us for god’s sake…One injury to shrader or tucker can change that though… take it game by game and enjoy the ride

How is that a jinx? Injuries are realistic part of the game and we saw tucker down for minutes last night. When was the last season the Cuse starter made it all 12 games?Don’t jinx us for god’s sake…
Sarcasm Otto. I know it’s always possible, I just don’t like to think about it.How is that a jinx? Injuries are realistic part of the game and we saw tucker down for minutes last night. When was the last season the Cuse starter made it all 12 games?
Yeah I caught that too, no idea why she said that. I suppose maybe he could graduate and move on?I'm with you. I'm hoping this is us peering around that corner. If Shrader can throw the ball like he did last night and receivers can hold on to them all, we’ll be in even better shape. Looks like Garrett has been putting the work in with Beck. He was ACCURATE as hell last night – I think he will keep throwing that way which is great. Why?
