I don't remember what the spread was last year - I assume it was in the 14 pt range in Clemson's favor - but I remember who won the game.

I'll find out more tomorrow but I'm pretty sure we're coming into this game with no major injuries. Kendall Joseph missed today's game with a groin injury but is expected back next week. Chad Smith was tossed for targeting in the second half today. (Find the play on Youtube and draw your own conclusion) He will miss the first half next Saturday. Other than that, I expect Trevor Lawrence to finally start at QB and play most of the game. His game and decision making is ahead of where Watson was his freshman year. He just needs to let the game slow down around him a bit.

We took 72 players to Atlanta this weekend and played all of them before the start of the 4th quarter. You can still see a drop off when the 3rd string defense comes in. Dabo will probably play them at some point even if the game is very close. That's just his way.

I'll write more later as I think of it.

It's hilarious to me that some Fairweather fans think we should have no problem beating Clemson because we are 4 and 0. (People I talk to) Taking my Orange colored Glasses off a min. Clemson has Elite Athletes all over the field. Has a tremendous home field Advantage. And ohh, they want revenge!! That being said. If Syracuse finds a way to win at Death Valley than even these guys that don't want to pay Dino are going to wake up. I think Clemson wins but if Syracuse wins they truly wanted it more and are due for a Special season!

I think they’re due for a special season even if they lose. Barring injury, we can be a 1 loss team going to notre dame.

Point taken, and yes it is a definitely a first world problem.

My point was that Dabo's philosophy is that when he recruits a player, he recruits him to play - not to wait his turn. If they don't give the effort and improve their game in practice the way he expects, they don't get to stay on the team. Conversely when they do give that effort, they will see the field in almost every game. When they make mistakes against live competition, he uses that to teach them in next week's practice. In the end, if you ever see a Clemson football team pitch a shutout (and we don't get many), you can be fairly sure that our 3rd string did their job on at least 3 series.

I know you guys are great everywhere, but how confident are you in your offensive line?

Our OL doesn't get the respect they deserve. Granted, a couple of our guys get their assignments confused from time to time but they generally do a good job. Pass protection is easier when Lawrence is in the game. He is very quick to find the open receiver and get rid of the ball. You can always tell when he starts thinking. He usually gets sacked when that happens.
