Apparently the failure at the top of the batting order is pointing at him. Ells bury is untraceable due to contract size so Brett is the one going MAYBE. I like Brett more that Jacoby. He was one of the few homegrown players on the roster. So of course he will be dealt away.:bang::crazy:

Not sure what Gardner's problem was but he had a major drop off after the all star break and that seems to be a pattern with him. Ells at least was injured most of the year so you can hope he bounces back. Not sure what the Yankees would get in return for Gardner that makes much sense, unless he gets packaged with a major prospect (Bird, Matteo, Sanchez or Judge), Betances or maybe one of Nova or Pineda. The real problem is the albatross contracts of Beltran, CC, ARod, Tex, Headley and to an extent Ellsbury. A couple of them drop out after next year, but several will be hanging on a little longer. And the one's dropping out might get extended another year to give the prospects more seasoning.

Apparently an early season wrist injury in addition to a shoulder injury when he crashed into a walking a catch at t or near the mi-season point.Whether he chose to continue plying and not revealing it to Joe is unknown but I like Brett and his ability.
