I'm glad SU has a bye week to get healthy and to work on some things before the game with South Florida.  I give big props to Mahoney for stepping onto the stage yesterday and playing pretty well. It has been my unpopular opinion that Tim Lester did a good job last season under very difficult circumstances, and I'm really not that surprised that I like what I'm seeing from the SU offense so far this season.   The defense yesterday played well at times, and I hope the bye week ends up being a great opportunity for a lot of these inexperienced young players to take a step or two in their development.  I still believe that this team can go to a bowl game this season, but in order to do that they need to avoid emotional traps and distractions and listen to the coaches.   Go Cuse!!
