... that I feel I need to watch the clock hit 0:00 before I'm assured they are out of the tourney.

When UCONN gets defeated and their season is over, it's so sad to contemplate that they won't be getting their 5th national championship this year.

I dont feel sad for UConn, but Im not excited theyre gone either. I'm not attached to them the way some are. I'm not exactly thrilled seeing Utah destroyed either.

They're such a weird tournament team.

Since 2007:
6 tournament appearances (missed the tournament 4 times)
2 first round exits
1 second round exit
1 final four
2 national championships

So essentially if they make it out of the first weekend, they go to the Final Four.

However, for all their "WE OWN MARCH" stuff - they've been to 3 Sweet 16's in the last 9 years (4 in the last 12).

How do you have 2 national championships but only 1 final four?

To make matters even more confusing, their league record over the past 7 years is 67-59. Hardly elite numbers.

Well they looked absolutely hideous today. I didn't watch the entire time but what I did see, they looked like trash. Looked completely uncoached and wild on offense. Their guards always play that way but for some reason it works periodically.

People are lauding their comeback, but Yale did it (they were down 28 and got it to 3) and so did Wichita; it happens in March.

Kansas came out sleep walking and almost disinterested in the 2nd half, they were being lazy on offense and didn't have the same intensity on D. However, when UConn cut it to 9, Kansas pushed it back up tto 17 or so. You could tell Kansas was going to be on chillmode until UConn made a run.

UConn just wasn't that good this year. They struggled in the AAC, didn't do that good OOC. And I don't think anyone watching them for the first time thought they were good -- they were deficient in a lot of areas; hell, if Adams misses that 3/4 court prayer vs. Cincy they probably don't even make it to the tourney.
