We got this

Great thread! I wish I thought of it first.

There was something about the building or the lighting in Atlantis that made it really easy to get dialed in. Hopefully we will play on courts with shooter friendly lighting. Sometimes the lighting on these courts is blinding or just awful.

says about 25 teams in the field...;)
Yep. The Cuse formula:
make 40% of 3s,
55% fg%,
80% ft%,
single digit turnovers,
no 2nd chance points,
even om the backboard,
and no one goes off from 3 against the zone,
we can win.
Guess what, you play like that, you better win.

Team needs to go to a pre-game strip club with slots.

Haha...did this even happen once all year? Doubtful. Those numbers are a little unrealistic.

We have a team if they're able to play to their capabilities and play smart basketball they could win it all. We also could lose first round.

Nothing like playing both ends of the extreme.

;)

With this team we've seen both ends of the extreme. How many times in a season has a team beat a team like Duke away and have a loss against a team like St Johns? Pretty big extremes there.

I'm Confident about Dayton, if we were playing any other two seed, I would feel a lot better. Msu is really good, should have been a one seed.

Even though some have mocked this post, I agree with it. What this team has lacked is consistency. When their "on switch" is on, theyve shown they can play with anybody. When it's off, theyre capable of losing to almost anybody.

Add in the emergence of Howard, and Boeheim has another tool that gives him the possibility of adjusting his formula a little more than he did for most of the season, as evidenced during the comeback of the last game. The team has a higher ceiling than most realize, being they don't approach it that often. In any one game, nothing would shock me in either direction.

I hope we can get some good shots off against Dayton. Their D is pretty excellent and could get our guards all discombobulated. Then again, we are good at taking bad shots, do it all the time, and all seemingly endorsed by the coach. We have that going for us and the players who can make bad shots! ;)

Even my 7 year old daughter noticed the cool lights in Atlantis while watching on TV...subdued the crowed quite a bit. She thought it was cool.

I just don't want to be embarrassed the first game. Just play well, be competitive, and see where it goes.

While the media mean nothing in the end, I still hate to hear shots thrown at us.

I think they put opiates in the water to help the mellow mood for those who didnt choose to toke up outside. ;)

Win the tournament both on the front and back ends of the season. Sounds like a plan!

JB sounds pissed this week in interviews about the media backlash. I think hes gonna use that to motivate the fellas. "They dont think we belong! So thats go out there and prove we belong and kick some ass!"
