I personally blame the offense for the loss. I thought the defense got gashed at the end the game but they also came up with some big plays at times to keep things from getting out of hand. When we were down 10 it was just as much the defense that kept the game reachable, as the offense. The offensive playcalling looked like we were calling Randy Edsall for suggestions. 3 runs right up the middle on your own 10, or wherever we were. Obviously the QB throwing the ball into the dirt on half the plays doesn't help but then put in a QB that is able to physically run the offense. I've been saying this for 2 years, there's been games the last 2 years we've lost because of 1980's playcalling IMO. We shouldn't have lost this game, I've said all week, I feel good about where we are but I"m not laying cash on 8+ wins. I want to see us routinely beat teams we should. This is exactly why I'm going to continue to be wary of any big wins, close wins, good early season stats vs. weak teams. This is the part of the season we've fallen apart. If it happens again for a 3rd year, I'm not liking any of the extension threads EVER.
