The OP is stating that he thinks that this year is proof that Babers has wasted most of the momentum that should have come with a 10-win team last year.

I certainly don't know enough about the program to stake a case either way. But I am confident that you will know next year. That does not mean that all fans will accept it if Babers has another losing season in 2020. Any fans who have gotten emotionally invested in Babers may need to see 2 more losing teams after this one to admit that perhaps Babers is not the guy.

Babers notched a big win each of his first 2 years. I thought that was a good sign. Then 10 wins surely looked good. But this is back to losing, and lacking a hope-inducing big upset.

A week or so ago, either SI or ESPN had an article wondering if Nebraska had been down too long to evert get back to what it once was. If you allow yourself to stay down too long, just maybe you cannot ever get back to where you once were. Even if you are Nebraska.
