I remember a play as a rookie with the Knicks, or really the aftermath of a play. An opposing player crashed to the floor. JW, good guy as he always seemed to be, bent over to extend a hand to help him up. Oakley rushed in a pushed JW away and prevented the helping hand. That was not the Knick way.

Knicks sure could use a helping hand now.

A the time, he was a 'tweener in that time in the NBA. Not good enough defensively to guard SFs and not big enough for the PFs of the time. Now he absolutely would be a star PF. Timing is everything...
