The feeling is that his defense will make him the backup to McCann. Another good field no-hit guy. Sure he has had a few hits but his power numbers have steadily declined. I'd like to see Sanchez get a look considering he was the Yankees'#1 prospect for a very long time and remains high on the list even now. His power potential has always been highly regarded. He supposedly has a rocket for an arm but apparently still has room for improvement in his overall catching requirements. The number one IMHO is blocking pitches in the dirt followed by calling the game correctly for his pitcher.
