Yeah the Lions fans are not happy they are waiving him
Wow...surprised. Gotta believe he gets picked up.

Worst to best records from last year? Not sure!I will be stunned if he makes it thru waivers.
What is the waiver wire order?
Yes, for pre-season and the 1st 3 weeks, the waiver wire order is the same as the draft. Then it changes to the current standings, worst to first.Worst to best records from last year? Not sure!
Looking at Detroit fan comments and their local media- they are all very upset that he was waived. Pretty much no one feels he will make it thru the waiver wire.
Most people think Titans, Green Bay, Vikings, Jets or San Francisco will grab him.
They just traded Tim PatrickLions should have moved on from Raymond and Patrick. Got some draft picks for them.
Meeks will be mighty elsewhere
He has to clear waivers, Detroit has to hope no team put in a claim for him. If he didn’t get claimed he’s free to sign with any ps or be signed to any teams 53.How easy is it to bring him back on the roster at this point?

Thanks for the clarification! I am often unaware of how these "things" work.He has to clear waivers, Detroit has to hope no team put in a claim for him. If he didn’t get claimed he’s free to sign with any ps or be signed to any teams 53.
How long is someone on waivers for? Too lazy to look it up.He has to clear waivers, Detroit has to hope no team put in a claim for him. If he didn’t get claimed he’s free to sign with any ps or be signed to any teams 53.

I wonder how it worked in the old days? Telegram? Packers STOP Waiver Claim STOP...I don't understand all the rules either, but is there potential for multiple teams wanting him resulting in a bidding war?
My friend worked for the NFL processing these types of transactions in the not to recent past, and they were still using faxI wonder how it worked in the old days? Telegram? Packers STOP Waiver Claim STOP...
No. I think there's a standard rookie contract. Waiver claims are based on W-L records from the preceding year, so the claims will go from worst to first.I don't understand all the rules either, but is there potential for multiple teams wanting him resulting in a bidding war?
It’s typically 24 hours but for cutdown day it’s slightly less than that. We find out after noon today what players were claimed/what players did not get claimed and are free to sign anywhere. How long is someone on waivers for? Too lazy to look it up.
I suspect most players clear waivers and can be added to the practice squad. I think McCord is quite likely to end up back with the Eagles. But performing poorly made him safe for doing so. Meeks is a bigger risk of someone else claiming for their team or even practice squad--i.e. if there is a clearer path to PT.It’s typically 24 hours but for cutdown day it’s slightly less than that. Not 100% sure that Kyle ends up in Philly. They've now got their 'Break Glass In Case Of Emergency' third-stringer. Plus, Howie has said that they've got a bunch of draft capital and that they like to pick a QB each year.I suspect most players clear waivers and can be added to the practice squad. We'll probably know soon. If he clears waivers it looks like the Lions will grab him for the PS.Not 100% sure that Kyle ends up in Philly. Guess we'll find out soon enough.
