Anyone else find it interesting that Brunt is an Assistant Coach rather than Associate? May have been brought up previously and I missed it. Wonder if this means someone else coming on board as associate, or the staff won't have an AHC.

That's what I was going to ask as well. All the coaches are just assistants on the Cuse site and in alphabetical order.

Is an associate head coach title something required for a staff? Genuinely curious because I don’t know the answer.

Not required. Usually the AHC title comes with a bump in pay and responsibilities.

Since Brunt was Associate Head Coach at Penn State, I thought he might get the same title here. It is a step up in program, but not the massive step up it would have been a decade ago. And I don't know if Syracuse can pay better than Penn State for assistants.

Great points in your post. As we all should know, the recent landscape is so fluid regarding composition of program personnel/staff. Although basketball at PSU plays like 5th fiddle in the hierarchy of athletic programs, the funding allocated for personnel is decent for a losing Big 20 program. Add in the private university versus public university and the pay situation gets even more murky.
