What kind of stunt did he pull tonight? That was downright bush. If he had some credibility as a coach, perhaps it would be overlooked, but right now he has none..and this makes it worse.

Why would the Nets hire someone with NO coaching experience when their lineup is geared to a short window / win now structure. ??????

I thought it was hilarious! But I agree that Kidd is a joke. I'll never understand why he was hired as a headcoach

"Hit me"and he bumps him? Follow directions guy, very poor effort. :p

Great move by Coach Kidd! Not worried, this team was built for the playoffs. Go Nets!

brilliant. he got pierce a three; a shot he often makes. he'll be fined, but smart neverthe less

it was no class. Figures you would like it.

I was more impressed that Taylor had the presence of mind to actually hit him instead of being like "wait what?"

I'm more surprised he bumped him and didn't hit him as Kidd asked.

IMO on the same level as Syracuse football coaches (and others too) being so secretive about injuries or suspensions

laugh at it and then move on

not near the same thing.

I'd like to see the session where they actually practiced this.

"OK, when I give the signal, look away and walk into me like it was an accident. No, not like that, you wussy! Like you mean it! Do it again till you get it right! If we're going to cheat, we're going to learn to do it the right way!"

Does it surprise anyone, since this is the same guy who intentionally dribbled into a coach that was standing on the sideline in order to draw a technical foul?

I loved it! Very savvy move. Clearly a bunch of butt-hurt Knick's fans in this thread.

Jason Kidd is also my all-time favorite NBA player, and essentially my childhood hero, for what it's worth.

They lost though. Like usual.

There's no genius moves being made when you're 4-11.

thats a serious case of hater hating.

they were down 3... they got their best clutch player an open 3. that is ALL coaches can do. play percentages. he executed his role perfectly.

keep in mind, i am a hawks fan... i have a legit vested interest in the Nets losing.

Eh. They lost, and he got fined $50,000 on top of it. He also further damaged his credibility as a coach, which is already in the toilet after 15 games.

Instead of inventing ways to cheat, maybe he should focus on getting his massively disappointing squad to actually play good basketball.

Hey, maybe next time he should stick his foot out and trip an opponent who is running the floor wide on a fast break! Genius!
