Unless you're in some underdog league that's fighting public perception in a way that is actually harming the league, it makes no sense whatsoever.  When you're in the Big East + Conference USA elite that's sending 7-9 teams to the tournament, it's ridiculous.  When you're in the ACC + old Big East and Conference USA elite and have zero "we had some great battles with them in 1985" sentimental ties to anybody, it's absolutely nonsensical.

I hope UNC falls apart due to sanctions, Coach K's back goes out, Pitino does something Pitino-ey(like wearing that stupid white suit while going back to the NBA and sucking again), and Bennett goes to another school in another league.  Maybe Jamie Dixon goes to Wisconsin...not to take over for Bo but to be their human mascot, ND goes back to their usual territory as a middle of the league 1st round NCAA loser after their dream season,  GT continues to suck now that they no longer pay big $ to steal our PG recruits, and BC continues to suck while being outdrawn by their hockey team.  I hate everybody else in our league and wish them nothing but the worst.  Go Cuse!
