All games = 33-17

In games in which he lost the first two = 10-3. The last team to sweep us was G town, 1986-87. 0-7 since.

In games in which we've won the first two = 12-5 (keep in mind we were big favorites in many of these which were early in the BET)

Also, JB all time post-season vs Pitt. 5-1

JB all time post season vs Dixon 2-0.

I'll take my chances on Wednesday and feel good about it.

JB owns Pitt post season! Now if we can only somehow avoid playing them in the regular season. ;):)

Hope you're right!

JB has never played Pitt in the postseason outside of our home away from home though.

I think we will actually take care of business.

This is where G begins to cement his legacy.

G is about to go from second round to first round. I called it. You heard it!

SU fans often overrate the NBA prospects of our players. This one may be an exception. I don't know about first round but I actually think G has a chance to stick in the NBA.

Luckily the Verizon Center is another home away from home for us... :)

And final scores were deceiving...we were up 1 at the dome with under 4 to play and we were down three with a little over 4 to play at their place.

Most obvious statement of the year but we need to execute better down the stretch.

I am also concerned about Cooney. 15-60 (25%) from 3 in Feb and March. Third year in a row that his numbers have fallen off a cliff in Feb and March.

He has to work so hard on the offensive end to get open. Combine that with the effort he also gives on the defensive end and the number of minutes he plays and I think he just wears himself out.

Re Cooney there is no question that the 37-38 a night leads to ineffectiveness down the stretch. Undeniable.

Thanks, I just shared the data with my annoying Pitt fan colleague, so this has proved to be good trash talking fodder as compared to the woeful regular season stats. I will be the happiest SOB when they win Wed, sending the wretched Panthers to the NIT. LGO !!!

It's like Peyton Manning was 3-1 on Tom Brady in AFC championship games. The perception was that Brady 'owns' Manning but who owns who when it counts?

We NEED him to get to 34-17. Hopefully he gets to 35-17.

Prob the 1st time in his career he could face back to back games vs 0-2 opponents.

I would hold off on the trash talking.

Suit yourself. I concede nothing to Pitt, a program that aspires to achieve the level of SU. That won't change, no matter what happens Wednesday.

Pitt has lost 9 out of their last 10 games in March.

His shooting is suspect from the opening tip though. We just have to acknowledge he's an average outside shooter at best.
