What a weird, alternate reality universe we are living in! There are so many unknowns I can barely make plans for next week, let alone November. I admire Boeheim’s attitude and the players’ resolve. Not a single person knows what is going to happen. But they are proceeding “as if.”
It feels like the entire planet is going forward by inches.
When I learned how to scuba dive in 1984, I did my check out dive on a wreck off the coast of North Carolina. It was such a farce, because we were supposed to do all these little maneuvers that demonstrated competence, but we couldn’t see 5 inches beyond our noses. That seems to be the position college athletics find themselves in. God bless us, every one.
