I’m watching these NCAAT games and seeing the coach interviews during the stops in play. Did JB give those? Can’t recall, but doesn’t seem like the kind of thing he’d participate in. To say nothing of the fact that the network might not like the in-game JAB, especially in a tight game.

Speaking of coach interviews I saw K granted the sideline reporter the honor of his insight on Friday night. For years that rat was too big for that and had one of his flunkies do it.

I think his presence, as well as that of all other head coaches, has been mandated by the NCAA (and their TV partner$).

Pretty sure this is the first time they have done in-game interviews. All I remember JB doing in the past is the halftime interview.

Which is just what Tennessee is saying today. They were 2 of 16 yesterday including 0 for 6 and 1 for 5 from their two best shooters.

Bobby Knight, who, for all his faults, knows hoops about as well as anyone, said basketball is 2 games. One is passing, dribbling, defending, etc., basically all of the fundamentals. Then there is shooting. Good shooting can make up for almost all of your other deficiencies; bad shooting can frustrate all of your other best efforts.

I'm certain the college coaches hate it, and don't want to be bothered during a scheduled TV timeout, but rather with their teams. It's a one and done tournament! However, with the crazy amount of coin CBS and the like are paying out for this tourney, the coaches have absolutely no say in the matter.

dealing with the media comes with the job. it's why you get paid millions. if you don't like it.. too bad.
