Just reading the board for the first time in a week or so. The entire thing is filled with posts questioning the way coach disciplined MCW. How can you possibly judge how he handled the situation? None of you know what MCW told coach B. None of you know what happened at the mall other than taking the word of anonymous sources. None of you know if or how he disciplined him outside of the public eye. None of you know squat. Unless you are armed with all of the information (which only coach and MCW are) how can you possibly question how he handled the isssue? How would you feel if your neighbor questioned the way you disciplined your kids without knowing anything? Get a grip. Get a life. Watch the games. Coach is a man of integrity and thus should receive the benefit of the doubt that he handled things in what he believed was best for the kid and best for the team. Done deal. Let's move on.

while i kind of agree with your points here...

hymes was suspended for missing a curfew in a return home game.

And its kind of hard to give me the anonymous sources crap. there was a picture of him in handcuffs. It is PAINFULLY obvious MCW was at least in a bad situation.

Sit him down for a half or a game and call is conduct detrimental to the team and move on.

1. JB is on the record as being told, and believing, that it was a "misunderstanding".
2. JB is on the record as saying "his hands are tied"
3. JB is on the record as saying "It's been over. The Syracuse police are happy with the resolution. The store is happy with the resolution."
4. JB is on the record as saying he would not change his mind unless the store contacted him, thus implying that he would take no independent action.

If he was intent on punishing MCW, he could simply say it was being handled internally. He's made no statements to even suggest he contemplated that. In short, if JB is making these statements publicly, while simultaneously punishing MCW privately, than JB is a masochist who enjoys being lied to and watching his disciplinary credibility flatline.

No offense OP, but...
we need more threads on this topic!
Hell, let's create a whole new sub-forum for it ala the Fine mess!!
I've never understood the thought process behind this... "I've read all of the posts and formulated my thoughts on the issue. These thoughts deserve their own thread."
