I haven't seen this talked about much, maybe I missed it, but I recall reading JB stating he wouldn't leave the program until settled in the ACC.
If that is the case, I like the delay, or lack of expedited move, as it gives us JB for one more year in the BE, and a min of JB in the ACC for one year, but maybe another 2-3. So, I think we have JB a min of 2 years. This is great as we heard speculation that he might call it after this year, or next...
Also, it gives a definite "this is the last BE game..." feel, vs. speculating, and another year for JB to pad his BE stats, get another BE title, etc, all the stuff Calhoun is near or surpassed.
Regarding Pitt and UConn, I'd love to see them both keep losing. A terrible year for Pitt, then another one where they aren't top 20, then a move to the ACC and they go back to the Pitt of yesteryear.
UConn - though I think they start to play much better, starting from our game Sat, I would love to see them tank and not make the tourney. They would not recover from 2 years out of the tourney, uncertainty of conf, coach, etc. That would leave us as the clear dominate program in the East, no question.
To conclude, thank god for JB and pitt and uconn.
