He does great on national shows. Animated, alive, good quips. Locally, in interviews, he's aloof, disinterested, half asleep, arrogant and acts like he's doing the interviewer a favor. Never liked the hypocrisy.

I’d guess the difference is that the national guys and gals are rarely if ever negative about him. They have little reason to be. It’s a different story with the local reporters and journalists. Their job is to criticize his job. Not their fault, but I could see why a coach would be more guarded and defensive speaking to them.
