A local sport radio station played this a bunch of times on that day and several hosts took that quote and ran with it.  "Hey Boeheim, which is it?  Inadvertent or can't let people push you around?  Pick one!"

This is a bad season, no one will dispute that, but I think some will put an "asterick" next to the bad season and argue that this bad season is just one bad season (instead of a decline followed by a steep dive), and that the bad season was due to COVID, Jesse's injury and Buddy's suspension.  Personally while I like Buddy, I am not so convinced that the outcome of that last game will be any different if he had played.  Symir made a huge difference and if Buddy wasn't suspended I am not sure we would have seen that Symir.
