If Cantor was going to fire him for saying anything at all initially, why would SU allow his statement to be listed on their main website? It would appear very questionable to fire him now considering SU did not criticize his initial statements and allowed him to issue a statement on their website.

It appears to me that perhaps SU is taking a wait and see attitude right now to see if anything comes out that implicates JB in knowing something occurred. In addition, they may be holding off to see if the media firestorm calms down a bit.

Of course, the BOT and Cantor may decide to change their minds if too much heat comes down upon the university. I hope that does not happen. Cantor is saying all the right things about the alleged victims and abuse in general. I would hope she would also stand strong and wait for the investigation to be complete before making any drastic decisions and not going with a scorched earth policy.
