Btw, looking at Bama's schedule right now it is surprisingly weak this season.  Strange to see Bama play such a weak schedule especially when you compare it to Michigan's schedule, Ohio State's schedule or even the Washington Huskies's schedule.  The PAC12 North is very competitive this season.

Right now you can see how valuable that extra Out Of Conference game, or 4th OOC game, is for SEC teams (the B1G, PAC12 and BIG 12 all play just 3 OOC games), and most SEC teams have scheduled that 4th OOC game for 11/17 this year.   November to remember?   Conference games are more difficult, just look at the dog fight Michigan had yesterday in Evanston with NW coming off a bye week, and of course there is also the battle that Clemson just faced at home against the Cuse!!

Looking at the SEC I see a more competitive conference than last season (2017 was not impressive), but that increased competition within the conference could mean that we will see a few unexpected losses among the upper teams.  Right now most SEC teams have played 3 of their 4 OOC games, and I don't see a lot of great defense being played which used to be the SEC's trademark and what people said separated that conference from the others.  Still a great conference for football but definitely not dominant.
