Jerami projected 2014 lottery pick. CJ "slips" to 2nd round.

I think this is a freshman bias type of thing again. Once a bunch of those guys play some games, they will get knocked down a peg and CJ will move back up quite a bit. He still won't be a high pick barring him becoming insane as a 30ppg and 7rpg player out of almost nowhere, but he will be an NBA player.

CJ doesn't get the spectacular highlight reel and the "wow" talk.
He's a quiet, dependable "get the job done" guy.
Love his game.
I was surprised the ACC recognized his ability with that preseason POY selection.
He'll be fine...as long as he ignores this stuff.

By the way...Russ Smith and Shabazz Napier also underrated here...probably because of size.

CJ is the definition of a tweener. Great college player, but I will be surprised if he ever is a significant producer on the NBA level

I hear all the time how you have to possess that one ELITE skill to make it in the NBA...I just don't know what that is for CJ.

A few possibles,

Consistency, you always know what you are getting with CJ

Basketball IQ, it's as high as any forward we've had in the past decade and probably longer

Lunch pail guy - CJ is all about the team and doing the dirty work necessary to help his team win.

But nothing is a lock, CJ has to keep improving and keep kicking ass and taking names

While I surely thought Terrance Roberts was 1st round material after 2-3 games and also said Dion couldn't be a lottery because 6'3" shooting guards that cannot shoot cannot be lottery picks, I do think I'm right that CJ is a first round guy. He is just an incredibly smart basketball player and his talent is kind of underrated. His handle is good enough where he will be able to beat bigs off the dribble, he is crafty enough inside to be effective and his shoot is getting much, much better, to the point it'll be an asset. I'd be shocked if CJ doesn't go in the first round. CJ is quickly becoming an all-time fav, joining Stevie, Hak and a few others...

Balls.

Unless they are still stuck in this guys mouth.

CJ either silently gets mad and sparks...

*Insert dunk over otto porter*

Or sees that his team needs a spark, and is ballsy enough to be the one to get it going.
*insert dunk against Pitt*

Julius Randle going number 5? No freaking way he drops to 5. I can see Wiggins before him, and even Smart, if the team needs a point guard, but no way he drops to 5.

Some playoff team picking 15-30 will get a good deal when they pick CJ.

His game has San Antonio written all over him. Which is a good thing.

I agree with this 100%, if there is a squad out there that plays his game and where he would be a fit it would be there. Most other teams I don't think like CJ's skill set, which is a shame.
