Jeremy Lin and his impact on the Time Warner vs MSG dispute

17 of the last 37 games are on non-MSG networks. Which means that MSG is not in a rush to get this deal done asap.

Don't forget about the Sabres not being on in Western NY as well. I'd love to get rid of TW right now but I do not want to get locked into a 2 year contract with Directv. Besides, we all know this could happen with another provider as well. Too bad networks like MSG did not have separate apps on Roku for example or the internet where you could pay a monthly fee to access them.

It's getting ridiculous, I'm gonna switch to FiOS ASAP. No Rangers or Knicks and the internet is awful as well as the TV quality and the price of their terrible service. Every single thing about TWC is sub-par.

This type of stuff NEVER happens on DirecTV

one thing about Sat TV that beats all the others.. you can watch it any place you want to set up a TV. the beach, the tailgate, the campsite..

arrow - where are you located? I'm wondering if that would be the case in the Rochester area. I think TW has an exclusive contract to show the games in this area. SNY is always blacked out on TW during those games.

I am north of 'cuse about an hour on 81, just south of Watertown.

But I have Directv, so I don't have to worry about TW blackouts

In the past, if TW had the exclusive rights, Directv could not show the games depending on the coverage area. I wonder if anyone in Syracuse or Rochester can comment if they have been blacked out from receiving SU games on SNY. If not, then perhaps I will consider going back to Directv.

I was one of their earliest customers back in 1994. Back then you had to buy the equipment. Think I spent $600 at Lechmere's. It was a great feeling then to get rid of cable! TW has done a solid job though for the last 4+years I have had it. I moved and I was not sure if I could get satellite reception at my new place. Still would hate to lock into a 2 year deal. That's one good thing about TW - no contracts.

Lots of money has been lost so far and lots more to lose in those 20 games. Linsanity has people turning on Knicks games for the first time since the 90's. This is transcending much more than the average sportsfan.

I can watch the NFL Sunday Ticket on my cell phone. Every game on my phone. If I have to travel or am on the move on a Sunday even for an hour or so, I miss nothing. It's fantastic!
