I searched the board and haven't seen this mentioned... If it has I apologize.

Tonight I'm being forced to watch the Voice final by the old lady. As we were watching one of the four finalists - Jermaine Paul -claimed to have turned down a basketball scholarship by SU for a record deal. I did a quick search and couldn't come up with anything about SU recruiting him besides his own bio. Anybody know if he's fluffing his resumé for some sympathy vote?

Edit: He did say Syracuse was his favorite team at least.

the way I heard is that he spent a year at Utica College, hoping to transfer to SU and walk on to the hoops team
