I think Jerome can find a place as a 3rd string back in the NFL, but Atlanta was never a good fit considering all the RBs they already had in place, especially with Freeman added this year.

Not sure of the circumstances surrounding Jerome's decision to leave early, but he could've been quite a productive back for us this year.

His stock would have dropped this year as he would have had his carries cut significantly because of the increase roll of GMII, Gully, and McFarlane. He left when his chances were the best to stick in the next league. The staff is looking for more Tavon Austin type RB's and not so much the big bruisers. If you are going to play RB here you must also be able to catch the ball out of the backfield which was not one of Jerome's strengths. You must also be able to pick up a block if needed.

We started as the Rough Riders, were re-branded as the Renegades, were idle for 8 years and came back this year as the Redblacks. I'm in my early thirties, and this is the first time in my lifetime that we've had good ownership and a great stadium. Every games has been sold out so far this year. If you're ever heading this direction, let me know good and early and I'll see if I can scrounge up a couple seats for you.

That's great news for Jerome. Usually earning a spot on the first practice squad means a spot on the 53-man roster at some point during the season.
