JG3 dropped 30 in an ACC game and had a number of terrific games against good opponents last year. I think he deserves a bit more leeway than many on this board are giving him. To win against good opponents in the ACC we will need JG3 to get his rhythm and game in order and JB knows that, so he is keeping him in there. JG3 played with a swagger last year that we have not seen in the first two games and that is nothing a few threes cannot change. But his shot and unnecessary turnovers suggest that he does not have the confidence at this time that he did last year. As for his body he does look slower and bigger. I will assume that is muscle and not a beer belly as one poster speculated, but two points on that. First at his size, speed is more important than added strength, particularly on defense where he is already somewhat compromised. Second he looks bigger but less chiseled and agile with the ball than last year. I'm surprised the staff didn't direct him to concentrate on agility and quickness rather than strength. Maybe JB is keeping him in there extra minutes to get him to shed a few pounds and get his speed and quickness back to where it was. I have a strong suspicion that a lot of these posts killing JG3 will look silly by the end of the year.
