Jim Boeheim explains sleeping photo: "It was before the game. It wasn't during the game."

Classic JB about the guy that took the photo:

"It was 95 degrees. I was in the gym. I was almost alone in the gym, except obviously for some idiot with a camera. So I leaned back against the wall and slept for about 10 minutes. With no game going on."
 
Anyone who pokes fun at this guy should check their own work ethic. Sorry, but as much heart and soul of this team as anyone (possibly) aside from CJ. This guy is all over the country and it isn't even basketball season.

Funny as heck picture. A thousand other people would take it if they had the chance. Better to just laugh it off than try and explain. At his age, JB can catch a nap whenever he wants, before a game or during. Just laugh it off.
 
That's a funny pic but who hasn't been so tired you couldn't keep your eyes open? He should have gone out to his car and put on a pair of sunglasses, took a quick snooze! When I'm out visiting clients, I have no problem finding a nice shady parking lot and take a quick power nap if I'm that tired.

Big time Hall of Fame coach decides to sack out in public and the guy with the camera is the idiot.
Lighten up...it's funny.
Would have been even better if he'd have curled up on the floor.
 
That heat wave would have made it pretty tough to catch a snooze in a car and not fry your brain. If you suggested he put a dog in a car to catch a snooze, he could have been arrested.:rolleyes: Funny, understandable but probably embarrassing picture.

Better yet, he should get those sunglasses with the fake eyes on them. :) Remember those? good times.
 
My girlfriend was asking why Boeheim would ever do something like that (before this article came out), and I replied, "He's Jim Boeheim. He can do whatever he wants."

Awesome picture, indeed. Even better hearing Boeheim have to (grumpily) explain the photo. Love this guy.
