Jim Boeheim on Dajuan Coleman: 'He gives every reason to be very optimistic'

Has anyone ever seen Kevin Hart's standup routine where he talks about jumping out of his truck and some girls peel off cuz "he doesn't have any knees" and Kevin Hart says, "I've got knees!!"

That's how I envision Dajuan reacting to people worrying about his injury haha.

I tend to be more positive and less negative by nature. Having said that I think Coleman will stay healthy and have a great year. He is going to keep the ball high and be and absolute beast on the glass. In fact around the end of February I plan on reposting this and doing a mic drop.

I guess I had the impression that Dajuan was a little bit further along than the article portrays but I have to think positive that his body will finally cooperate until there is a reason to be negative. He is VITAL this year to state the obvious.

I want to be more positive. Since I have a torn meniscus in both knees every time I hear anything about Coleman my own knees hurt. That said my best hope for DC this season is not only does his knees hold up but he stays out of foul trouble. Staying out of foul trouble will probably be a bigger deal than stopping players with a slap down block. He's really going to have to remain disciplined in the center of the zone and win by letting the other team miss shots over getting fouls. Having a non-fouling discipline is really hard to do for the big players.

'He gives every reason to be very optimistic'

that statement reads suspiciously to me like a teacher's comment on a failing report card.

Don't understand what what you guys don't get about JB ' statement. I know some of you want to be pessimistic. DC is healthy has been working hard. He will be ready to ball and will a beast in the paint
Is he healthy? If so, that's good to hear.
