Interesting article. Grobe seems like a straight shooter - hope he gets to coach again if that's what he decides he still wants. Tough way to go out.

Jim Grobe, just like Dino Gaudio, was not treated well by Wake and Wellman. Hopefully Grobe, as Gaudio did, can adjust to being a sports commentator.

It's not whether or not a coach is on borrowed time... it's how the school handles it. Wake/Wellman was not classy in either case.

Grove can coach.

As a capitalist, I don't feel bad for him at all. Breaking News: big time college football is a Business and he had the opportunity to use that to his advantage just the same way Wake Forrest decided to.

The school to get him next year is lucky. Don't feel sorry for him.

Grobe is a fine man. His formula of taking 2/3 star type high character kids and redshirting the whole class led to great success during
the first half of his stay in Winston. Playing them was like getting a root canal with all the orbit motion and very innovative play calling.
Once he got away from his formula they were just another bad team. I think he would be great at a service academy
