Buddy’s brother is having a monster game, 25 points in the first 23 minutes in something called the collegeinsider.com postseason tournament right now. 11-13 from the field.
Too bad the staff can't evaluate talent, we could use his game, he would have looked so good in orange!

Good for Jimmy! Buddy, who's 18 months younger, has always been the better player. Jimmy was recruited by all the Ivy schools (he's an outstanding student), but he was not considered a high-major basketball prospect in high school.

Gotta be careful these days when it comes to talking about kids with wealthy parents being recruited by the Ivy's.

In case some folks don't realize that your post was pure sarcasm, let me assure them that all the Boeheim kids got into college on their own merits. (I know all three of them very well; in fact, as some may have noticed on tv, I was sitting next to Jamie in Charlotte).

Maybe they should hire you as a talent evaluator. Of course “after the fact” skills aren’t what they are looking for, but that’s just a detail.

That wasn’t your sister next to you? ( Complimenting the matriarch of this board is a known good luck charm for our beloved Cuse...not that I don’t believe you COULD be Jamie’s big sis)

Bobby Mo runs away in OT 98-89.

Jimmy finishes with 31 on 14-20 shooting.

I have a job, but thank you for the offer. And I am disappointed my irony was lost on you Townie, as I was merely taking a tongue in cheek shot at the peanut gallery contingent that would certainly slam the kids own parent/coach for not giving him a roster spot if he goes on to be Ivy PoY some day. Which is the irony font?

I didn’t get it, obviously.

I’m probably quicker on the trigger than I should be, but there’s so much unjustified crap thrown at everybody and everything, it’s hard for me not to react.

No doubt. JB coaches both of his sons in his final season on the Hill.

Not sure how that’s going to work unless Jimmy sits out a year at Cornell or graduates in 3 years.

Oh yeah, you’re right.

If he transfers, that puts him in the same class, but does that require burning a scholly? He could always go back to Cornell and complete his degree after his eligibility runs out, no?

Transferring is different than grad transfer.

Townie, we may not have always agreed, but to use one of my recent favorite phrases, "that took courage". I respect folks who can reply like you, instead of those who double down on their original stance with rare exception.

That said, I'm not the hugest fan of sarcasm to begin with, as it seems to not fit well with how our unconscious minds use literal interpretation to govern us, not to mention the confusion caused in the written form as displayed here.

you cant RS at Cornell and go to school. but he could not play a yr and the grad after 4 and have a yr left or grad in 3

its only cornell... unless he's a real slacker, im sure he could graduate in 3 :)

i'd love to know how many brothers (uh like the sibling kind of brothers) have ever averaged 35% from 3 in the same season.

even his detractors know how smart boeheim is, no surprise that his kids would inherit that

(i don't know much about juli boeheim except that she seems like the most charming person ever but i'm sure she's sharp too)
