I know how alot of people feel about JJ. I also was frustrated with him time and time again but I will be standing and cheering for him Saturday. I dont care about performance, stats or anything. To see a local kid play in Orange always makes me so happy. If we cant cheer for even our local kids then we shouldn't be fans. So please stand and cheer amd show other locals that this fan base is not filled with all haters.

No one is going to boo the guy during his senior day celebration

Honestly he battled through some legit injuries too that I think would’ve derailed a lot of players. The mental part of the game was always the struggle.

We don’t talk about the injuries so much anymore but I think he was hurt somehow every year too.

I was just talking about this with my buddy. He seems like a great kid. I am proud to say he is local.

JJ is a great kid, a very good student, and a class act. Out of HS, he not only was a McD's AA, but had the opportunity to go to several of the top colleges, including Stanford, Notre Dame, and others.

It really is too bad that he never got to play in the NCAAT, or that as a local kid -- that he'll get forever associated with this awful stretch of program performance.

Hope he goes out on a positive note on Saturday.

Zero issues with JJ the person. All the best to him. AFAIK he's been a model student and all around person with the program. I don't even think there have been hints of rumors of issues with him.

How Syracuse used him in their basketball program, that's where the friction was. In spite of the game threads, I don't think there is a Syracuse fan anywhere who wouldn't want him on the team in some capacity.

I wasnt implying people would be booing. Our fan base tends to just ignore on court activities. I meant I hope our fan base stands and cheers for him.
I'm sure he will get a nice ovation from the fans there, but don't expect many people there tomorrow.
