No matter how much you like Fran, this year has been a debacle.  During the first bye week, this staff should have radically reworked the offense to something with screen passes, QB mobility, trick plays, etc.  Anything to work better with Rickie's limited abilities and our skilled WRs.  Instead, it was just more of the same for two more weeks.  And then just punt the whole thing, bypass QB3-5, and go with Filardi.

Miami's WR, Malachi Toney, is 2 for 3 on passes.  So is Carney.  Is he a true freshman WR with as many passes as our QB#3 in a year where QB#1 went down Game 4 and QB#2 is one of the worst QBs in FBS.

Forget the redshirt... give him the start against UNC.  If it goes terribly, then stick with redshirt.  If it goes well, then talk about saving the redshirt and going down to QB#4.
