If Hughes continues his dive from quality to less than mediocre he stands a good chance of finding himself in the National League in a decent trade for the Yanks. That his next start will be in Detroit means he won't walk out to the Bronx boo calls. When the fans turn on you its one of the first steps out of the Stadium. Unfortunately the Yanks don't have any farm arms worth calling up at this time.:noidea:

Cali, Hughes has pitched pretty well over the last three weeks or so, and has arguably been better than Nova and Kuroda lately. The rotation is not the problem. Getting the bats going consistently and somehow getting continued production from the bullpen are the primary concerns right now. Hughes is not going anywhere because as you say, there are few viable starting pitching options in the pipeline right now.
