is tainted pretty much forever. Ironically for a "squeaky clean" reputation to one that has now fallen into the septic tank. Maybe he can wash himself off but its highly unlikely. I know of one Penn State fan who is crushed. She regards Joe as an icon and a candidate for sainthood. I guess thats changed but I can't rejoice in that happening. I clearly remember traveling back to NJ after the 1987 whacking of the Nittany Lions and coming in contact with PS fans who were so PO'ed that their attitude was a lmost funny, They acted like they were just beat by Rutgers. Not the 4th ranked team in the country. All I can say is that if Paterno is smart he would retire now before this goes any further.
