is tainted pretty much forever. Ironically for a "squeaky clean" reputation to one that has now fallen into the septic tank. Maybe he can wash himself off but its highly unlikely. I know of one Penn State fan who is crushed. She regards Joe as an icon and a candidate for sainthood. I guess thats changed but I can't rejoice in that happening. I clearly remember traveling back to NJ after the 1987 whacking of the Nittany Lions and coming in contact with PS fans who were so PO'ed that their attitude was a lmost funny, They acted like they were just beat by Rutgers. Not the 4th ranked team in the country. All I can say is that if Paterno is smart he would retire now before this goes any further. Take the high road and fall on your sword Joe and attempt some dignity.couchburn
