Truly an amazing read and special to finally hear what JBA is all about. Not even gonna lie, I almost teared up by the end of the story...truly such a positive to have this kid on the team. He’s beloved by teammates and coaches alike and I can see him being a truly beloved player by the fans by the time he’s done here.

Also I may be alone here, but I can see John Bol surprising some people this year. Maybe it’s because no one is expecting anything from him at all, but I can see him providing spot/energy minutes at the 4th forward spot this year. At the very least he provides insurance in the case of foul trouble or dare I say, injuries...
I think he shows enough flashes to a point where we could get excited about for his future here. Remember he’s a redshirt sophomore, but still has 4 years of eligibility left, including this year.

Even if he doesn’t end up contributing much on the floor, what he’s doing for his hometown in Africa is I think, praiseworthy.

Much more than what I could say I’m doing to help the world anyway LOL !

In an almost 2 year period of so many non positive emotions, I like the optimism.

This team is full of really good dudes and some good players. Selfishly I think we are due for maybe the analytics to not tell the whole story and guys to step up and surprise the college hoops world. There is plenty of reason to doubt it ever happens for JBA let alone a team that lost a lot and gained what we hope will be adequate.

I agree, I think this could be one of the more the likable teams we’ve had in the last decade and a half and might end up being an all time favorite for me (we’ll see how the season plays out.)

But the ingredients are all here for something magical to happen from it...hopefully putting good energy out only helps the flow for this one to take off.

Wow, that is an amazing story and puts a LOT of things in perspective.

Note to self: Remember while watching games – If JBA missed a shot or doesn’t rotate over in the zone and gives up a shot, do not get upset at him. It’s just basketball.

I’ll probably still get upset -, I’m an emotional fan at times. But I’ll recognize his good work and never degrade him as a person.
