I was going to mention Josh in another thread but that just didn’t feel right. He deserves his own thread for sticking it out here and doing the dirty work instead of moving on for more playing time.

In our biggest game of the year he takes over for J’onre and plays his butt off!

Agree. Great family too. He deserves a ton of credit.

Found it funny that he was the guy knocked over on the offsides and all his teammates mocked him. They love him. There’s a great video of him with Wax celebrating on the field and commenting about how it’s been five years together.

Yeah, he's quietly been a really critical part of the team. Been called upon a lot as a reserve and been part of three straight bowl qualifying teams.

Josh is a very unique young man who wears jersey #55 how ironic it will be when Josh takes the field in our upcoming bowl game which will be the 55th game he has participated in since he arrived on campus. Kudos to the big stud.

My favorite was when miami was offsides and Josh flopped and was twitching on the ground, then 57 flopped and then Allen. Hilarious if you go back and watch it.

I don’t think your perception is wrong. He wasn’t effective as a full time center but has found a niche for himself as a backup where he’s really done well.

His size though full time over the course of a year may very well be why he wasn’t as effective years past.

Sometimes it’s about just getting the right people in the right spots. Fran really excels at that.
