Of course colleges want to bring in the best coaches and you don't want to hinder that with drastic contract stipulations but there has to be some repercussion for a coach leaving. Typically they are leaving for what would be considered a better higher paying job, I would guess position coaches typically have buyouts that are typically much lower and probably a smaller percentage of what their salary is.
