CGridiron.com announced its preseason All-America teams and cornerback Amarion York (first team) and offensive tackle Hingano Hautau (fourth team) were selected.
York as a freshman from Fairfield, Calif., had four pass breakups and two interceptions, while amassing 35 tackles and three tackles for a loss. The Owl defense allowed 16.8 points per game last year.
Hautau, a 330-pound lineman from San Jose's Willow Glen, was part of a line that allowed just eight sacks. The offense ranked second in the state in both yards per game (443) and rushing yards (236). The Owls averaged 42.0 points per game. 
The Owls completed the 2022 season with a Silicon Valley Bowl win and 8-3 mark. They open up the season September 2 against West Hills at home at 6 p.m. All home games will be broadcast on broadcast on NCS TV.
