Seeing him on the sideline in the Carrier Dome all pouty when things weren't going his way was all I ever needed to know about the guy.

My Jets fan friends were all very excited when he was drafted, mostly because he's the Not Sanchez.

I told them, as a Syracuse fan, I'd be stunned if he wasn't a bust.

Point, me.

Scott Shafer owned Geno Smith 3 years in a row. Did the Jets not see the trend?

When you blitz him, he is no better than Andrew Robinson's pony hop from snap.

Should have drafted Nassib. When you blitz him, you get a game-winning TD throw to Alec Lemon.

Jet fan here, was crushed when they drafted Geno.

They are the most stupid franchise around. Unbelievable.

Hope he has a good financial advisor - should be able to get $200k/year cash flow for the rest of his life on the $3M he has guaranteed in the contract - I doubt he'll be collecting too much more than that.

Out of curiosity - what is the typical percentage cut these guys pay to their agents?

the jets front office see's what they want in a player not whats real

That organization is a clusterfluck, and that's coming from a Raiders fan.
I think they're on equal footing at the moment... Raiders planning to start Terrell Pryor. Yikes!

About a 7% return on his money at $200k a year... Should be feasible.

Typically, I believe NFL and MLB agents get 5%. Probably more for an agent like Rosenhaus.

Don't write Geno off yet. If he were to hook up with the Patriots, he'd thrive in that offense under Bellichek

I would love to chime in and hate on the jets and raiders but my team is probably starting Jeff Tuel soooo yeaa...
didnt esppcaca say he is the first udfa to ever start a season opener

not a jets fan but was one in 72-75 as joe namath was fav player but as for sanchez if they gave him a line and weapons like first two years then who knows..but as for now when healthy give the ball to greg mcelroy #McelroyMaddness
