It does not appear as though SU has the team to win it this year- MD has been dominant and SU seems to be in that second tier with a number of other good lax programs and probably not at the top of that second tier. Kayla has submerged her game for the good of the team throughout her career. We have seen what happens when Kayla defers and allows herself to be taken out of the game because of special defensive attention. If this team is going down I hope it happens with the one of the best players in women's lax history trying to impose her will on the game, driving hard to the goal, drawing double and triple teams, finding the open players and even forcing shots when her hands are free.

I was at the game today and saw how the offense changed so Kayla could score on the side of the goal from an assist, twice. One person is not going to win the game, especially when she's double and triple teamed. The offense is only as good as the defense. Roofbeam, have you actually been to a game yet?
