Kadary vs the zone

if teams are gonna play him man he needs to do what he does and try to get to the rim. If he ever starts to make shots he will be a force.
I thought that today, he’s gotten better from 10-15, but if he can knock it down from 3 at the top of the key, he’ll be lethal. They were giving him 6 ft. Of cushion today.

Against man off the bounce, he already is. And what a finisher at the rim for a Fr.

Kadary got players an open shot off his passes in the second.
Really it was only one the passes he would make to Quincy and Marek do their own thing that weren’t.
When Kadary passed to Buddy and Braswell they were getting open looks.

Plus his defense was dominant in the second half.
Dominant.

He finishes with either hand too.. Too bad we dont really have a dump down center to go with him.

Best guard defender since MCW.

Have said it before and will say it agin. Love watching kadary play defense. On one of the presses he recovered and cut off the angle to the kick out 3. Turned a potential open 3 into a turnover. It was a really smart heads up play. He also has another gear I noticed in the second half on defense. Think we underestimate his quickness because he plays so smooth at times but he showed some serious effort.

Kadary proves again why he needs to be on the court. The top of the zone is so much better with Buddy and Kadary up there and their length. I know others have said that JB doesn't want to hurt Joe's confidence by starting Kadary and maybe you are right since JB had to point out in the press conference today that Joe has had good practices. Kadary just changes the game in too many ways (steals, deflections, drives, assists, rebounding, etc) not to play him 25-30 minutes a game. I would instead of thinking that bringing Joe off the bench might hurt his ego that it might light a fire in him and give him something to prove.

This game also shows how Braswell needs more minutes every game. The kid is a great shooter and rebounds well which they need. Plus that charge was a game changer. I give JB credit for sticking with Braswell and Kadary today because he often goes back to his starters.

And the ones that don’t turn into turnovers disrupt the offensive flow other the other team and forces them to reset.

Second half the ND guards were nervous passing it back and forth 30ft from the basket.

Not just Richmond, Braswell makes it very hard on the other team as well.

If all Braswell does is play great defense, get the occasional rebound and hit some threes he deserves time.

Braswell moves well on defense, like an extra bounce to his step that Griff doesn’t have.

It was nice to see him get a chance.

Agreed, because that’s something he does better than most guards we’ve had...he knows how to feed the post. AO would’ve loved playing with him.

Couldn't he do the same with Quincy?
