But a 6ft 7 in forward like Southerland, elevating and shooting with confidence, is going to be able to get those shots against a lot of teams. His stroke is definitely improved, and he is better at getting to positions on the court where a forward should be taking shots. In the past, he would be launching from a few feet farther out, where guards but not forwards usually should be roaming. Now, he is on the baseline, or mid-range. Next step for him is to show he can get and make a shot off a dribble move.
