It's amazing the jump players make at Cuse from FR to Soph year. Waiters, Jerami Grant, Kris Josephs, etc.

To add on, and going back a bit further, Hakim Warrick made a huge sophomore jump. Onuaku, Rick Jackson, Scoop, Damone Brown, Shumpert, Etan Thomas, Sherman Douglas(probably largely opportunity based, but it counts), John Wallace, there have been quite a few!

It speaks very well for Syracuse's ability to develop players. It's nice that us diehards aren't the only ones to see it.

I wonder how much of this success is Jim Boeheim's coaching ability, the staff, the facility, or some other factor that is the reason why players make such huge jumps in the program. Whatever the reason, it's been great. I just hope it continues to maintain this level of success for many more years to come.

Forgot Fab Melo, who may have had the biggest leap (on the court anyway). He was beyond useless as a frosh.

First year players take knocks having to play against the experienced rotation guys in practice; our experience rotation guys the last few years have been extremely good.

Nah it's just that he stops Boeheiming them...

Playing time goes up... and production goes up?

Seriously though, that's a classy post from a former tar heel. Respect

The one constant that we have evidence of is JB and the staff. So, I'm going with coaching as the reason for the jump.

With the egos on mcw and waiters (and I don't mean that in a bad way) I bet they agree with this sentiment.

One plus if Grant jumps is that it would maintain our streak of getting a sophomore drafted. He would be our 4th in 3 years.

Well there is always going to be talent ahead of you at SU. We've got some frosh right now that are going to make a huge jump next year because they are immensly talented and they'll see major minutes next year.
