Great for the growth of the game. Tough games for them but it’ll only make them and their program better

Who’s the coach?

The coach Ben Ternosky grew up in Lafayette and played lacrosse at Lafayette high school and at Keuka College. Was on the staff at Lafayette high school for awhile and six years ago moved to Kentucky. The essence of the article is that he wanted to teach his team about the long history of lacrosse, its origins, and the culture of lacrosse in Central New York. The team will be at the Syracuse/Virginia game today and have planned a meeting with fellow Lafayette native Virginia head coach Lars Tiffany after the game. Afterward they'll take the 11 hour bus ride back to Kentucky. His school has won 6 state championships in Kentucky but learned how much more skilled the players in CNY are as they lost games pretty handily to C-NS and Layfayette/Onondaga. It's a terrific article.

That program is pretty dominant in Kentucky, and I saw they were ranked 121 nationally on maxpreps before the trip.

Tough games for them here but a great experience and will likely fuel the kids to challenge themselves further.
