I don't like to criticize college students , but he can't hit the broad side of a barn, and it was evident after 1 series why he came out for 2 more is beyond me. If our staff thinks he's a potential D1 QB , then I'm a monkey's uncle.

i am really over all the rah rahing of qb recruits on this board during the recruiting process. First it was Kinder, then Hunt, then Allen, then Kimble, Austin, Long, etc.

I'll rah rah when one of the next great qbs throws for 300 yards and two td passes in a college game vs a p5 opponent.

I thought the exact same thing He missed several passes with guys running wide open and he missed them badly I think him playing was the biggest reason the game was lopsided. I think if long is in there SU has 10 more points on the board

You get what you pay for and this kid is a D2 player in my eyes. Grand Valley State or Slippery Rock would be a perfect fit for him but not in the ACC.

I respect the person but as a player I hope he never takes one more snap at QB for Syracuse.

I watched a little Lehigh/Lafayette and Harvard/Yale today. Saw more then a few passes that Kimble couldn't make.

What concerns me is that Lester really liked Kimble in HS. I am really concerned that Kimble doesn't know how to pick P5 talent.

I'm pretty sure the interest in Kimble started only after Zach Allen decommitted. It was a really quick period between the start of recruiting Kimble and his verbal commitment.

Not letting Lester off the hook but it wasn't a long recruiting period.

Also, Kimble in practice is apparently pretty good. He looks the part, except when it really matters.

Yes, he was offered Jan 18th.

Kimble might make a good free safety but he sure as heck cant throw. The poor kid looks like he just caught a fly ball in center field and is trying to throw the runner out at the plate. Too bad we dont have a baseball team. He does have toughness and seems to have pretty good wheels. Not sure if he played both ways in HS but he is an athlete for sure. Would be nice to see him switch positions. Otherwise he may be headed to Maine or Stony

Wide receiver.

kimble was brought in for his running ability since Wilson cant run

That's a serious problem. They think they are being smart identifying these under recruited, under the radar prospects that nobody else has offered. Well maybe there is a reason these guys have no other offers?

Did they realize they were recruiting a quarterback? You know the guys that have to throw the ball.

Some of the in-game decisions this year have been mind-blowingly bad. We need to start over NOW. Not after one more year of crappy football. NOW.

This even goes back beyond those guys all the way back to Cecil Howard, Perry Patterson, Joe Fields, Andrew Robinson...we've gotten high on a lot of guys before they've played, or after one promising performance. It's amazing how badly nearly all of our QB's have flopped/not developed in the last 16 years.

That said, I do think Long could be a good college QB with good coaching/system, and reasonably decent talent around him.

probably thought he could develop after sitting behind hunt for 2 years and it was late in the game

Curious to see if Kimbles mechanics just break down during certain situations during a game. I'm not sure if he has the arm or not and wasn't too pleased with his bubble throws either but I don't see him in practice to see if he can make his X, Y or Z throws.

My thoughts exactly. But hey as long as our under the radar guys commit by June every year they must be good, right? I trust the coaches. Next man up.
