Kingsley Jonathan: Waived by Jets

Getting an NFL paycheck. It's good to be King. We own the market on Kings with this year's KingJoseph. In fact both are KJs. Nice.

Interesting that the Bills have another international player (rookie Travis Clayton) that they have on injured reserve. My understanding is each team is allowed only one.
I think it's because Clayton is on injured reserve that allows them to use the exemption on Jonathan. I could be wrong, but I think that's how it works.
Wait, that's an actual rule? Like the way basketball leagues in other countries are limited with how many americans they can have? What's the purpose of that? Are there all these football hotbeds in other countries that we're afraid will flood the american market, tip the scales in one team's favor?

It's a rule that allows an additional player on the practice squad if he's from another country. It's meant to boost the international scope of the NFL.

Gotcha. I misunderstood. Thanks for clarifying.

Kingsley was released by Houston last week. I didn't know that he was no longer with the Bills. Maybe he finds his way back to the practice squad with Buffalo later on although they are pretty stacked at DE now.

The Jets Twitter guy pulled a Syracuse move. Got the guy’s name wrong.
